Trio Chinese Style Chili Oil Set
The Collaboration:
Starting this year, the local farm called Pecan and Meadows Farm from PA is going to expand their camelina planting in order to supply us with the camelina oil (non-GMO & cold pressed) for our chili oil base. To folks who don’t know much about this oil, it is a great oil and considered a superfood and rich in Omega 3 fats & Omega 6 fats (which human body cannot produce) and Vitamins E. First introduced by our neighbor friend at 14 th & U St Farmers Market, Pecan and Meadow Farm suggested the oil to us back in 2020 when we were searching for the chili oil base that is similar to Sichuan rapeseeds oil. I was surprised by the look of the plant and its aroma, I thought I found the local rapeseeds oil. After some research, I realized that rapeseeds and camelina are different species, moreover the camellina has more nutrient benefits and less acids than the rapeseeds oil. I was amazed by the similarities of these two plants and was very happy to find a local version of the oil.

Sichuan Chili Crisp Oil Main Ingredients:
Dry red chili flakes, fermented black beans.
Spice ( five-spice, star anise, sand ginger, Sichuan peppercorn), ginger, garlic, flavored soy sauce or house-made Sichuan 复(Fù)制(Zhì)酱(Jiàng)油(Yóu), apple cider vinegar, canola oil, camelina oil, salt, mushroom powder and sugar.
Contain soy, and wheat.
Dan Dan Noodle Sauce Main Ingredients ( about 10 servings ):
Sichuan chili crisp oil, Sichuan peppercorns, house-made scallion oil, and sesame paste.
Spice ( five-spice, star anise, sand ginger, Sichuan peppercorn), ginger, garlic, flavored soy sauce or house-made Sichuan 复(Fù)制(Zhì)酱(Jiàng)油(Yóu), apple cider vinegar, canola oil, camelina oil, salt, mushroom powder and sugar.

COOKING TIP: This sauce can be used as the following - a condiment to flavor your dishes like noodles or rice etc. ; salad dressing for veggies like cucumbers, daikon radishes, lotus root etc. ; marinade for meat before grilling or BBQ; stir-fry sauce for food like rice, eggplants, tofu, string beans etc.; a dipping sauce for dumplings when it is mixed with apple cider and crushed garlic.

TIP: This sauce can be used as the following - a condiment to flavor your dishes like noodles, dumplings, and breakfast crepes etc; suggested serving size - 3 oz ( 85 g ) sauce per 12 oz ( 340 g ) noodles. Stir the sauce in the jar first and take the amount needed to a bowl. Use the serving spoon to stir the sauce mix in the bowl evenly until there is no sesame sauce clumps before adding the noodles.

TIP: This dry seasoning has the most mala ( Sichuan peppercorn) among the three items on this page. It can be used as the following - a dry spice dipping for hotpot food; dry rub for BBQ or sprinkls to flavor BBQ food; dry seasoning to salad dishes or sprinkles to flavor fries or popcorns.
